MGB GT Coupe Coachwork conversions Toronado Autocar magazine March 1966
Autocar. 4 March 1966. Autocar is a long-running weekly United Kingdom publication that focuses on the new car, or news that may affect the motorist. As such for the main part you get articles on new cars to the market, or general motoring stories. Very much a belt-and-braces approach to journalism, the magazine tries to tell it as it is so is perhaps all the more informative for that. My Autocar magazines go back as far as the sixties, so the stories are no longer really about new cars! So in one sense they have become historic documents for the discerning classic car owner – a new car then is a classic car now. This particular issue, for your interest and enjoyment, has articles on: MGB Gt coupe test. Picnic equipment. Shrine of speed. Transit Coachwork conversions. Spring clean. 3,000 miles Toronado. essex Mini. …and don’t forget the period advertisements and classified section. Often this part of the magazine is worth the cover price alone! Note that I have over 1,000 magazines listed in my eBay shop. To find these, click on the shop icon . Then, in the little search box down to the left [imagine looking down a bit towards your elbow!], simply type in the detail you are interested in. Manufacturer, car, person, event or even car registration number – be creative! Please note that these are all my own magazines that I have collected over the years. I buy around 20 a month, and have done so for almost three decades. In addition I also bulk buy at car boot sales, so I’ve thousands upon thousands of magazines in the house. All I’m doing now is thinning my collection down a little. Hence all of the magazines are in used, but good condition. I run older cars as a hobby, and from time-to-time buy a motorbike for fun. My last bike was a new Suzuki Bandit 600 that I put 50,000 miles on in under 5 years. At the moment my car is an old Volvo – cheaper than the train! Post: I try and be as fair as possible with postage rates. But these days postage outside of Europe is very high, so I cannot do anything to cheapen these rates unfortunately. Sometimes the Post Office makes a mistake on the rates, so if this happens I pass the savings back to the buyer. Most of my magazines go out double wrapped for protection, so they arrive in good condition. If you want to buy more than one, please feel free – but ignore the auto-invoice from eBay as I will combine shipping for all multiple purchases. I do not accept IBAN / International Bank Transfer as a means of payment. And, I hate to say this, but for German buyers I will block all e-mails that originate outside of eBay – I do not like the spam e-mails that follow on! Powered by eBay Turbo Lister| £3.24 |
