Weekend Telegraph Magazine – ‘Number 17′ January 15 1965 Main article: ‘Monte Carlo: The Hard Way’ A vintage edition of the UK’s Weekend Telegraph supplement featuring a 5-page article on the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally from London, in which the Weekend Telegraph had a car racing. The article contains nine colour photographs in addition to the one on the front page. The magazine is in excellent condition. The cover is not faded. The address where it was delivered some 45 years ago is written in pen on the front cover. (The Daily Telegraph was ‘One penny a week, if delivered’!) Other articles include one on ‘How It Feels To Be Black’ growing up in America (Kansas, black photographer Gordon Parks), one on Edwardian architechture (eight colour photos) and one on the British composer Michael Tippett at 60. There is no reserve on this item. Magazine will be sent in a ‘Please do not bend’ cardboard envelope, and due to its size is sent as a ‘packet’. Recorded delivery can be arranged if required. This was the 17th edition of the Weekend Telegraph published. I am also selling other editions from this era.
